Cornwall, England By Samantha Lucken of Green Beginnings Having just returned from a visit to Cornwall, I thought I would write a few words about this beautiful part of the U.K. Situated in the south west of England this has to be one of our most beautiful coastlines. A visit to Cornwall can be equally enjoyable at any time of the year, whatever the weather. Mullion Cove is a lovely quaint harbour. Spend time watching the waves crash against the harbour walls or send out a message in a bottle to distant shores. Walk along the coastal path, past the point where Marconi sent his first radio wave transmission to Church Cove. There are two beautiful rocky beaches here with a small church in the middle. This church is still used for communion on a regular basis and is a wonderful spot for quiet contemplation whilst surrounded but the sounds of nature at such a peaceful spot. Take the children rock pooling on either beach with the background sounds of the magnificent waves crashing to shore or run along on the sand or investigate the shallow caves. Back the other way is the Lizard Peninsula with the old Lifeboat Station at its foot. Sit and glorify at the rugged coastline here and imagine what it has experiences throughout the history of time. The most southerly cafe in England serves a tasty cream tea, not to be missed with beautiful Cornish clotted cream. An experience not to be missed. So come on, plan a trip to Cornwall and taste the experience for yourself.
